I have been doing journalism since my teenage life. Besides writing, I am a passionate photographer.My works have also been published by The East African- a leading regional weekly, African Review, Music in Africa, Marimba Media, Kenya, Daily Metro, UK’s Eyecon Magazine, Rwanda’s The New Times, and ecomedia.com. I am winner of the 2007 Golden Pen Awards in the Arts and Culture category. I have been nominated for Young Achiever’s Awards’ twice, in 2010 and in 2011. I am winner of the Afrika Divas Awards as Best Entertainment Writer of the year 2011. I have been awarded as Best Features Writer by peers at Daily Monitor for 2012. I was trainee of African Synergy during in February, 2011 at the Sauti Za Busara (Sounds of Wisdom) Festival. I was winner for the category of ‘Sports Journalist of the Year’ in Uganda National Journalism Awards (UNJA) 2013/14 and runner up ‘Health Journalist of the Year’ for the same awards in the same year. In 2016, I was nominated/short-listed for ‘Features Journalist of the year’. I am a graduate of Mass Communication/Journalism from Makerere University Kampala (MUK). I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Studies at Uganda Martyrs University. Part of my hobbies include reading, traveling, making friends, photography, watching movies and attending concerts.
