Silo turns up the heat at the October Daycation

Sundays are usually calm and laid back, but this one wasn’t the usual. It was The Silo Daycation Sunday — and the October edition brought the city’s brunch lovers together for an afternoon where style, music, and tequila ruled the day.

Held at Silo 15, the event filled the glass-walled restaurant with laughter, flavour, and a touch of indulgence. The Silo Daycation, which has become a signature monthly escape for Kampala’s urban crowd, continues to blend rhythm, taste, and refinement in a way that feels both fresh and familiar.

From the moment guests stepped onto the blue carpet entrance, the atmosphere was effortlessly elegant. Platters of ceviche and tequila-infused starters set the tone, followed by an indulgent spread of roasted and stir-fried meats, seafood, and desserts — from vanilla ice cream and doughnuts to perfectly baked croissants.

Don Julio Tequila once again played its part, offering guests a taste of smooth craftsmanship. From the crisp brightness of the Blanco to the deep warmth of the Añejo, and through signature cocktails like the Margarita and Paloma, every sip felt like an invitation to slow down and savour the moment.

“This October edition of the Silo Daycation Brunch has really been exceptional. It’s such a good way for our consumers to close the month,” said Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager, Tequila and Rum East Africa at UBL. “Not even the rain could hold back our guests from turning up and embracing the moment. We’re excited to continue this journey and keep delivering the best experiences.”

As the afternoon slipped into golden hour, the energy shifted from relaxed conversations to dance floor vibes. Carsten DJ opened with soulful tunes, followed by DJ Anslem’s R&B session and Crysto the DJ’s hip-hop set. The highlight came when DJ Lil Stunner, also known as Sheila Gashumba, took over with an amapiano mix that transformed the brunch into a full-blown party.

By sunset, the crowd was on its feet, drinks in hand, as music and laughter bounced off Silo 15’s glass walls. The Silo Daycation had once again proven that daytime in Kampala can be just as electric as the night — a stylish celebration of taste, sound, and the art of good living.
