Craftsmanship meets celebration in Johnnie Walker Blue Label Diwali edition

Johnnie Walker, the world’s leading Scotch whisky, has unveiled a stunning limited-edition design of Johnnie Walker Blue Label to mark the Diwali season — a vibrant collaboration with celebrated Indian fashion designer, Rahul Mishra.

Bringing together two icons of craftsmanship and artistry, this special edition bottle captures the essence of Diwali — a time of light, connection, and celebration. Mishra, the first Indian designer to present at Paris Haute Couture Week, is renowned for his commitment to handwoven craftsmanship and timeless “slow fashion.” His intricate design for this limited-edition bottle evokes a radiant festive night filled with blooming flowers, symbolising new beginnings, hope, and prosperity.

Just as every drop of Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a product of patience and mastery, Mishra’s design honours tradition while embracing innovation — both united by a deep respect for heritage and detail.

In Uganda, the launch was commemorated on Tuesday, October 14, at Mediterraneo in Kololo, with an intimate whisky tasting experience for tastemakers and brand enthusiasts. The event served as a prelude to the grand Diwali celebration slated for Monday, October 20, also at Mediterraneo.

Speaking about the collaboration, Christine Kyokunda, Brand Manager, Johnnie Walker East Africa, noted that the partnership between Johnnie Walker and Rahul Mishra represents a perfect meeting of worlds.

“Johnnie Walker collaborating with Rahul Mishra is a remarkable fusion of artistry and craftsmanship. His creative expression aligns seamlessly with the enduring heritage and refined character of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. This limited edition comes at a perfect time — a season defined by light, unity, and celebration,” Kyokunda said.

Known for its rare depth and luxurious flavour, Johnnie Walker Blue Label reveals layers of citrus, rose petals, dark chocolate, vanilla, and hazelnut, ending with the brand’s signature smoky warmth. Each bottle is crafted from only one in every 10,000 casks — a mark of its rarity and excellence.

“The bottle’s exquisite new look perfectly complements the luxurious spirit inside, making it an exceptional gift and a showstopping addition to any festive table,” Kyokunda added.

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label x Rahul Mishra Limited Edition will soon be available at select outlets across Uganda, shortly after its grand unveiling during the Diwali festivities. Guests at the launch can expect a night defined by luxury, light, and the timeless artistry of Blue Label — a true celebration of craftsmanship and connection.
