Two years after celebrating 20 years in the music industry with a massive concert at Sheraton Gardens, rapper Daniel Kigozi, better known as Navio, is back with yet another groundbreaking idea.

On October 4, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Navio will stage Uganda’s first-ever Orchestra Hip Hop Concert—a fusion of classical orchestral sounds and hard-hitting Hip Hop. This unique show will not only be a first for Uganda but also for East, Central, and Western Africa.

The event will feature some of Navio’s biggest hits, performed with the backing of the Aka Dope Band and a 40-member Kampala Music School orchestra, promising a one-of-a-kind musical experience.

Navio won’t be alone on stage. The lineup includes some of Uganda’s Hip Hop heavyweights such as The Mith, Lyrical G, Babaluku, Feffe Bussi, Big Trill, Keko, and Da Agent. To add an international flavor, Swedish-based soul and R&B singer Kadiatou Holm will headline as a special guest performer.

Speaking ahead of the concert, Navio described the show as a celebration of artistry, culture, and innovation.

“After nine concerts, we knew the 10th had to break the mold. This is Uganda’s first-ever fusion of Hip Hop and classical music, and we’re creating a show like no other,” he said. “As we mark our 10th concert, I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who has walked this journey with us. This is a new chapter in our musical story, and I can’t wait for the fans to experience it.”

The concert will also feature appearances from Feffe Bussi, Mun G, Benon from Swangz, Lucas Black, Flex D’Paper, Pryce Teeba, The Mith, and Tushi Polo, among others.

To match the grandeur of the concept, Fenon Records will handle production, guaranteeing a world-class stage and sound setup.

Navio’s Orchestra Hip Hop Concert is set to be more than just a performance, it’s a statement. A night where rap meets symphony, and where tradition collides with innovation to create history in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
