One of Uganda’s greatest video directors, Sasha Vybz, has credited Bebe Cool for his recently released Break The Chains album.
According to Sasha, Bebe Cool has sacrificed a lot for the industry and that it has woken up many artists.
“Break the chains was a sacrifice Bebe Cool made for this industry. A revolution, a kick starter, a far cry a lot we have heard for a while,” Sasha said.
He said he was hopeful Ugandan music was destined for a shine.
The director behind some of Bebe Cool’s videos, like Easy, Wasibuka Waa and Nkuliyo, among others, also added that he had personally gotten bored of the game because of the same sound over and over.
Born Ian Akankwasa, Sasha Vybz is one of the best videographers in Uganda. He spent three years in South Africa studying film and production but majoring in Directing of Photography at City Versity College.
Sasha Vybz started directing in 2012, editing Rabadabyuah by Noise Preacher as his first video. Since then, he has never looked back. He now has hundreds of videos in his name working with both big and budding artistes in the industry, including Sheebah, Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Nina Roz, Fik Fameica, King Saha, and Pallaso, among others.
