Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, who shares two children with Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz, has praised singer Zuchu for succeeding where many others have failed—keeping Diamond grounded in a relationship.
In a recent interview with Ayo TV, Zari acknowledged Zuchu’s strength and resilience, suggesting that the singer deserves recognition for her perseverance in the relationship.
“If it’s true, I wish them luck. Didn’t the whole world pray for this? Zuchu wins the girlfriend of the year award. She’s strong, resilient—that girl is strong. Many of us couldn’t do it. Tanasha failed, but look at Zuchu, she’s standing. I’m proud of her,” Zari said.
Zari added that she hopes Diamond now treats Zuchu better, especially since she is no longer just a girlfriend and an artist under his label.
“That girl is putting up with a lot of sh*t from Naseeb,” Zari remarked, using Diamond’s real name.
Despite their complex history, Zari made it clear that her relationship with Diamond is now purely about co-parenting.
“Me and him are doing a good job co-parenting our kids. My kids don’t lack anything. He’s the type of person who, if you call about the kids needing something, he’ll come through. So if he’s finally going to settle down alhamdulillah.”
Zari and Diamond Platnumz dated between 2014 and 2018 and share two children, Tiffah and Nillan. Over the years, Diamond has been romantically linked to several high-profile women, including Tanasha Donna and Wema Sepetu, but none of those relationships endured.
