After doing everything that he thinks needs to be done in entertainment, veteran emcee Edwin Katamba, alias Mc Kats has set his goals on band music.

The former Xpozed TV presenter has started Kats Music Band which will specialise in Soul music.

“We have started a band but for us we are more of soul, RnB and gospel music,” Kats said.

He has planned an official launch at the Villa lounge in Bukoto next Tuesday.

The After 5 presenter was, however, tight-lipped on how many members he has on the band and their identities. He reserved this information on the unveiling night.

Mc Kats has emceed on some of the biggest events in the country and hosted some of the biggest entertainment programmes on TV.

He started at WBS before moving to NTV and later NBS, where he is still at. Besides that, he is also managing Fille’s music career and has also tried singing at some point in his life including “No Condom No Sex” (featuring various artists), “Love Commissioner” (with David Lutalo and Rema Namakula), and “Brag About God” (with Ntaate). He also has songs like “Believer” (with An-Known) and “Wakikuba” (with Sheebah).
