Brunch in Kampala has evolved into more than just a late-morning meal—it’s now a statement of lifestyle, and this Sunday, Tanqueray is taking that experience a notch higher with the Limoncello Italian Brunch at Mediterraneo Villa in Kololo.
The event, which will run from midday until 5pm, promises a culinary journey through Italy, with an array of traditional dishes layered with fresh herbs, rich spices, and a generous serving of smoked meats. It’s a menu designed to honour the authenticity of Italian cuisine while catering to Kampala’s increasingly discerning brunch crowd. All of this will be paired with free-flowing, finely crafted Tanqueray cocktails—bottomless, yet curated to complement every flavour on the plate.
But the experience doesn’t end with food and drink. As the afternoon fades, the atmosphere will shift from garden dining to rooftop energy. An afterparty hosted by Sheilah Gashumba will bring guests into the evening, with a special set from Germany-based DJ Sydi Gonzales expected to headline the night alongside a line-up of local talent. It’s a transition from indulgence to celebration—still within the elegant confines of Mediterraneo, a venue that’s long held its place among Kampala’s finest culinary addresses.
Nancy Nansikombi, who manages the Tanqueray brand in Uganda, described the event as a reflection of what the gin represents: refined taste, social connection, and style without stiffness. It’s this blend of familiarity and flair that the organisers say they are trying to capture—a laid-back Sunday turned into a curated social escape.
Abinash Kunjapann, who is behind the brunch’s organisation, says this edition stands out for its focus on depth—both in food and experience. It’s not just a lineup of dishes and drinks, but a crafted moment where Italian tradition meets Kampala’s love for sophisticated gatherings.
Entrance to the brunch and afterparty comes at a premium, with access tied to curated packages. Still, for those attending, it offers a chance to explore Kampala’s evolving brunch culture through a distinctly Italian lens—one where gin cocktails flow, music rises, and the day unfolds like a well-paced feast.
