There is new money in town and it was spotted in Buziga, a Kampala suburb. The neighbourhood was lit up recently as socialite Boss Mutoto hosted an exclusive welcome party for Congolese businessman Paluku Kike and his wife Aime Kahindo, who have recently made Uganda their new home.
The event, held at the couple’s elegant new residence, was a blend of culture, celebration, and cross-border friendship – a moment that brought together two nations’ elite under one roof. With a guest list that featured some of Uganda’s most recognisable faces, including businesswoman Zari the Boss Lady, singer Jose Chameleone, stylist Abryanz, Cascadeur, and Demba Nyama Mkali, the night was a true celebration of connection and community. Paluku Kike, known for his success in the cocoa and coffee export business, is one of Congo’s most prominent businessmen.
His move to Uganda reflects not just personal growth, but also the strengthening ties between the Congolese and Ugandan business and social scenes. Speaking during the event, Kike shared his appreciation for the warm welcome, saying, “It already feels like home.”
Boss Mutoto, who organised the night and also serves as president of the Congolese community in Uganda, brought his signature flair –curating a memorable evening that blended music and elegance. More than just a party, the event marked a new chapter for Paluku and Aime in Uganda, symbolising not only their arrival but their growing influence in the region and social scene.
