Ugandan singer Aroma Music has opened up about a little-known and shocking chapter in her journey to fame, revealing that early in her career, she once turned to witchcraft in hopes of fast-tracking her success.
Speaking candidly in a recent interview, Aroma shared that she paid Shs500,000 to a fellow musician who promised to use supernatural means to help her rise to stardom—just before releasing a music collaboration. However, things took an unexpected turn.
“After making the payment, I faced even more problems,” she said. “The collaboration I had high hopes for flopped, and instead of progress, I only felt more frustration.”
Now a firm believer in self-driven success, Aroma reflected on the experience as a hard but valuable lesson. “I’ve learned that real success comes from talent, determination, and patience—not shortcuts,” she stated.
Aroma also used her story as a cautionary message to fellow artists, especially those starting out: “Don’t fall into traps. Focus on your craft, work hard, and trust your journey. Witchcraft or any other shortcuts won’t take you far.”
Her honesty has struck a chord with fans and the wider music community, shedding light on the pressures young artists face and the extreme lengths some are tempted to go in pursuit of fame.
As her career continues to grow, Aroma hopes her experience serves as both a warning and a source of inspiration for those navigating the tough, unpredictable world of music.
