How the Beefeater Women’s Day cocktail came to life

Naguru Skyz Hotel played host to this year’s prestigious Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail, bringing together an exclusive gathering of influential women from various sectors, including entertainment, entrepreneurship, the creative arts, tourism, politics, media, dance, and corporate leadership.

Organized, hosted, and produced by Talent Africa Group, the invite-only event provided an inspiring platform to celebrate women’s achievements, discuss critical issues affecting them, and promote empowerment under the theme “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality.”

Symbolizing a call for a brighter and more inclusive future for women, attendees donned elegant touches of orange and engaged in thought-provoking conversations, celebrating the strides made in multiple industries.

The event was hosted by Sylvia Namutebi Allibhai, a former beauty queen, who led the discussions with passion and insight. She emphasized the importance of empowering women and urged attendees to embrace their potential, stating, “Remember, your voice matters, your story matters, and your dreams matter.”

The panel discussions were packed with trailblazing women, including Lilly Ajarova, the CEO of Uganda Tourism Board and Senior Presidential Advisor on Tourism; Hon. Rachel Magoola, MP & Singer for Afrigo Band; Halima Namakula, Musician & Entrepreneur; Joanita Kawalya, Singer & Women’s Rights Activist; Anne Kansiime, Comedian & Actress; Dorah Mwima, Entrepreneur & Former Miss Uganda; as well as Mami Deb, Sham Tyra, Eleanor Nabwiso, Karolyn Kash, Atong Amos, and Sandra Cope, among many others.

The celebration wasn’t just about conversations but also about culture and entertainment. Guests were treated to electrifying performances by Jackie Chandiru and a thrilling dance showcase by Dance with Valentino.

Some of Uganda’s leading female musicians were in attendance, including Lilian Mbabazi, Nina Roz, Lydia Jazmine, and Rachael K. Renowned dancers such as Rita Dancehall, Dance Mamweta, and Cathy Patra brought added energy and vibrancy to the evening.

The Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail has now become an eagerly anticipated annual event, fostering a community of powerful and inspiring women.
