Bobi Wine’s elder brother legalises marriage with longtime lover

Yesterday, National Unity Platform Mobilisation Head Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu and his longtime love, Majorine Namukasa Katumba, became officially married.

The couple held a colorful introduction in March 2020 and planned to wed later that year, but their plans were delayed by COVID-19, which caused the country to be placed under a nationwide lockdown.

The couple on Friday morning held their church marriage at St Mary’s Cathedral Rubaga officiated by the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese Paul Ssemogerere. The ceremony was graced by different dignitaries from the Buganda Kingdom including Prince David Wasajja, and former premier Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogerere among others.

Several NUP top leaders led by Party Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu and wife Barbie Kyagulanyi, Members of Parliament, family members, friends, NUP die-hards and foot soldiers were also in attendance.

After being announced husband and wife, Chairman Nyanzi and Majorine Nyanzi, along with the rest of their entourage, traveled to Speke Resort Hotel Gardens in Munyonyo to capture their momentous day.

A wedding reception was organised at Freedom City Mall in Namasuba along Entebbe Road where they hosted their guests.

Fred and Majorine have been together for the past 23 years and are blessed with 11 children.
