Fik Fameica and Zulitums for Coke studio

Coke Studio, the acclaimed regional music extravaganza, is making a comeback after a two-year hiatus. The new season, themed “Be Who You Are,” kicked off on August 31, 2023, promising a remarkable fusion of cultures and sounds.

Like other previous editions, Uganda is going to be represented by Zulitums and Fik Fameica.

Headlined by American artiste Jon Batiste, this year’s Coke Studio features a collaboration anthem titled “Be Who You Are (Real Magic)” with K-Pop group NewJeans, Grammy winner Camilo, UK singer-songwriter Cat Burns, and Atlanta rapper J.I.D.

Other renowned names for this edition include Yung Stunna and Nasty C from South Africa, Mayorkun and Buju from Nigeria, and international sensations Sam Smith and Imagine Dragons.

Arthur Akankwasa, Senior Franchise Manager for Coca-Cola in Uganda, expressed excitement about connecting with a new generation of consumers, especially Gen Z, through this cross-cultural experience.

“This season promises to be nothing short of magical and awe-inspiring, featuring an impressive lineup of artists curated for the enjoyment of our consumers,” said Arthur Akankwasa, Senior Franchise Manager overseeing Coca-Cola operations in Uganda,” Arthur said.

“This period provides a unique opportunity for Coca-Cola to connect with a new generation of consumers, specifically focusing on the Gen Z demographic. In a time where the world is at our fingertips, we’re excited to bring a fresh cross-cultural experience that resonates deeply,” he added.

This season will also feature captivating activities such as festivals, listening parties, and campus tours across the country. Get ready for a magical and awe-inspiring musical journey!
