“Ï didn’t come here to be touched. You should get a psrostitute and bring her on stage so that you can touch the way you want,” bellowed musician Winnie Nwagi through the mic after telling the DJ to stop the music.
Her remarks followed what she considered as an unorthodox reaction from a reveler who tried to shove cash tips down through her cleavage as she performed at a hangout on Saturday.
Known for her hot temper, Nwagi, rea name Winnie Nakanwagi has had a couple of run ins with revelers while performing on stage.
Her statement, instead of serving the purpose she perhaps intended it for only infuriated the revelers who pelted her with bottles of mineral water. As a result, the Take It Slow singer dropped the mic and stormed off the stage.
Known for her erotic dance moves and sometimes seductive dressing, Nwagi has had several violent episodes on stage with male revelers who sometimes try to inappropriately touch her.
In several media interviews, she has insisted revelers should learn to respect her job.
However, since the July 8 incident, several fans have advised Nwagi to control her temper, especialy while on stage because revelers pay to be entertained.
