Ghetto Kids land ambassadorial role upon return from London

Hard work indeed pays as the Ghetto Kids are continuing to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

Just a day after their return from London where they competed in the Britain’s Got Talent 2023 show, Insurance company Liberty Uganda has announced its partnership with the Ghetto Kids as the company’s brand ambassadors for the next three years. This was during a welcome breakfast organized by the company for the dance group on Wednesday morning at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.

The Ghetto Kids have been signed up for Liberty Life’s flagship “SOMA” plan which will cater to their education needs for the next three years. According to Liberty Uganda, the “SOMA” plan helps parents plan for their child’s education, through small but manageable savings.

While speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Uganda Mohammed Danish Eqbal said, “Our association with the Ghetto Kids symbolizes the spirit of Uganda and its vibrant and joyful culture, it symbolizes the fulfillment of dreams, it values perseverance, dedication, commitment, and team spirit.”

“We will protect the kids while they are travelling through Liberty General’s personal accident cover and I hope they travel a lot and win us more laurels. Liberty Uganda is extremely delighted to have the Ghetto Kids as its brand ambassadors for the next 3 years. We are here to support the dreams and dreams of many such kids who aspire to achieve big in life. Thank you from Uganda, we are all proud,” he further remarked.

He concluded by committing to provide a portion of the profits from the SOMA plan towards supporting Ghetto Kids and similar organisations that are enabling the dreams of underprivileged kids.

Kavuma Dauda, the Manager of the group explained that Ghetto Kids is an organization that uses music, dance, and drama to make lives better by supporting the children in education, feeding, healthcare, and shelter.

“Our first priority is education, I, therefore, would like to thank Liberty for this opportunity, this is what we have always worked for. We are ready to partner and associate with you,” he noted.

He started this dance group in 2014 with five kids but now has 30 children under his care.
