Godwin Byekwaso alias Beazine Zj an artiste, media personnel and actor has this Friday afternoon launched the ‘Speak Out’ campaign aimed at awakening the youth to speak out about their issues mostly those related to HIV/AIDS and drug abuse.

While speaking to the media at Asante bar, Beazine Zj says that unemployment has risked most youth lives in western Uganda to drugs and acts that expose them to HIV/AIDs.

“The ‘Speak Out’ campaign is to remind the youth that HIV/AIDs kills and it mostly happens when the youth are exposed to drug abuse. We are aiming at creating awareness about such issues so that they can get away from conducts that may interfere with their good future,” said Beazine Zj.

He added “I encourage the youth to be aware of HIV/AIDS and its effects as I aim to spread this campaign in schools and conventions. Therefore, I kindly call upon everyone to join the cause and we secure the future of Ugandan youth by fighting the spread of HIV/AIDs and drug abuse.”

Martin Fashions commended the ‘Speak Out’ initiative saying that youth have gotten a chance to communicate about issues that are affecting them right now. He called on everybody to support the cause.

“The youth have now gotten where they can speak out their voice about what haunts them, this will help every youth and we are ready to support Beazine Zj fight bad vices amongst the youth. I call upon everyone to support us as we push this worthwhile campaign,” said Martin.

Ms Winnie Nwigenyine, Miss Ankole Culture, and Heritage 2022-2023 says she supports Beazine Zj’s creativity. Winnie states that once youth leave drugs, they can live a better and more meaningful life.

“This is commendable, someone coming out to say that we speak out about issues affecting us as youth is an excellent initiative. I think this campaign should start in schools because it is where we can reach a large number of those who are at risk of being spoiled by drug abuse. This will help the youth,” said Ms Winnie.

Mr. Ronald Kyamadidi, a youth, said that before this Speak Out campaign, the youth should be engaged in productive activities which will keep them busy. He cites idleness as one of the reasons youth resort to drug abuse which puts them at risk of contracting the disease.
