Uganda Martyrs Museum, Church of Uganda launch new play

The yet to be completed auditorium

The Church of Uganda together with the Namugogo-based Uganda Martyrs Museum has today opened a new play to the public set to show at Bat Valley Theater in Kampala.

Uganda Martyrs Museum will start this Saturday, April 1, to show their latest play “Ensigo Y’okukkiriza” loosely translated as ‘The Seed of Faith’ at Bat Valley in an initiative to collect funds that will aid in completing their auditorium that is at 80% completion stage.

“Collected funds will go to the completion of the auditorium that we expect to be complete by June 1” the spokesman Lwasi Eria Buzabo noted in a press conference earlier today.

Vincent Jingo the writer of ‘The Seed of Faith’ confirmed to the media that the play will show on all April weekends twice every week at Bat Valley with entrance at 25,000Ugx and 50,000Ugx respectively.

The auditorium will be open to the public by June 3, on Martyr’s day and President Museveni is expected to be present, according to Bishop Jackson Matovu. The auditorium is expected to accommodate about 7,000 people.
