Rafsanjan going places

Abbey Rafsanjan, a former Sqoop writer, continues to spread his wings in the promised land of the arts. Rafsanjan introduced celebrity safari packages to Hollywood stars through his company Lush Africa Safaris early this year and it seems like he will not be slowing down any time soon. Within just six months, he attended the Emmy Awards, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and will be at the exclusive American Cinematheque, an annual dinner/gala event honouring a prominent Hollywood star for their contributions to film and philanthropy. This year’s honoree is actor Ryan Reynolds.

Rafsanjan does not just make up numbers at these events. He works with booking agents and celebrities to arrange safari trips and cruises for celebrities and so far two top Hollywood celebrities have been to Africa on private safaris. . In fact, some celebrities have asked him to arrange charity events that they can attend and give back to the people in Africa.

The first event of the kind will take place in Cape Town in March 2023 where a group of businessmen and celebrities will participate in a cycling event aimed at raising funds for mothers living with HIV/Aids. This event should come to Uganda next, according to Rafsanjan.
