Gen Muhoozi pays tribute to Mowzey Radio

First Son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba Saturday poured out tribute for deceased legendary Ugandan artiste Mowzey Radio.

“Rest in peace my brother Mowzey Radio,” the commander of UPDF land forces started in a post made on Twitter.

Counting over 200 self-written songs that turned out major club bangers, Radio whose real names are Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo died February 1, 2018- a few days after his  January 25 birthday.

But his musical talent, Lt Gen Muhoozi now says “could not be challenged.”

“You were a true patriot and nationalist!  We miss you! Rest in peace brother!!” the army man eulogized the musician whose songs are still relatively dominant in the entertainment world with a vast contribution to Uganda’s performing arts industry.

The first son doesn’t usually tweet about musical issues but we suspect he must have listened to one of Radio’s many songs- which drove him to at least pay tribute to the fallen artiste, again, three years after the latter’s death.

Mowzey Radio was recently awarded with the Outstanding Legendary Artist Award category in the Janzi awards held last weekend in Kampala.
