A fascinator and beret affair

SLAYAGE: At the launch of Elyt Magazine, we were reminded that all the fashionistas still live.

If you love a good party flowing with endless champagne and the best that fashion has to offer, then the Elyt Magazine launch at Protea Hotel was the place to be last Sunday.  The fashion affair that was themed ‘Fascinators & Berets’,  marked the return of Elyt Magazine, and it was coupled with a jaw-dropping new collection unveiling from fashion couturier, Anita Beryl.

And while all the attention might have been on the stage, the guests brought their best fashion foot forward and dressed to the nines for the brunch event. Here are some of the winning looks from the event.

Anita Beryl

While her collection “A New Dawn” may have stolen all the stares at the event, her look offstage was equally bomb and definitely fashion forward. The fashion designer had a coordinated pink ensemble that consisted of a blush-sleeved number, accessorised with hot pink heels and a purse. The entire look was well-put together and should be in the Barbie museum for sure!

Anita Fabiola

The cover girl was winning on and off the Elyt Magazine cover issue.

She was a floral delight in her Sham Tyra puffy dress that featured a scrunchy neckline. It is her floral head piece though that brought all the blossom glory to this look!

Brenda Nanyonjo

Miss B was giving us queen vibes with her well-put together ensemble that was not only brunch ready, but also fashion forward.

This was ideally one of the best looks of the day, but going straight into our fashion wall of fame. Slay on B!

Solomon Tazibone

Keeping on theme with the dresscode, the celebrity stylist accessorised his tartan printed look with a mustard beret and some coloured sunnies for the day.

This look is definitely giving some vintage old school vibes, and in a way that makes it brunch ready!

Malaika

The hostess with the most, as always, the event host and radio personality stepped out in this burgundy jumpsuit, from Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl that featured a shoulder trail. Her accessories of choice were her peach-coloured fascinator and ombre coloured knotless braids.

If your host can’t bring this much slay to your event, do you even need her?
