A young artiste identified as Wisekid has stirred a lot of reactions after it was discovered that he has been reaping from Ayo Balogun’s music on Apple and Amazon. This news has been making rounds on social media.

Remember that Wizkid’s latest album, Made In Lagos has been doing well In different music charts but then fresh revelations confirm that Wisekid has been reaping Wizkid off since October last year.

Reports say that all Wisekid had to do was create his Album on Apple Music but named it Lasgidi Made. After he created this album, he went on to copy the name of Wizkid’s songs. For this reason, any stream generated for WizKids songs is shared with him.

According to reports, Wisekid went as far as copying Wizkid’s social media handle names. He used Wisekidaya on Twitter and Instagram

After this revelation went viral, he deactivated his Twitter account and changed his Instagram name to @Ayaboyofficial.

Since October last year, he had been making N30 million (SHS267M) monthly. Following the alarm raised by Wizkid FC in respect to a certain con-artist named Wisekid uploading a clone version of Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” album, RCA has begun the process to take down the clone album.

Wizkid’s manager, Jada P has promptly released a statement to assure fans that they are working behind the scenes to ensure that all music relating to the malicious Wisekid account is taken down immediately.

“RCA have been actively working on taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms from yesterday morning. Relating to the fraudulent “Wisekid” account. Thank you Wizkid FC for your dedication and patience. It does not go unnoticed,” Jada tweeted confirming that they are already on the matter.

Only yesterday, Wisekid’s activity gained more public knowledge after he uploaded the statistics from apple music showing that he has accrued almost 10 million views from cloning Wizkid’s album, Made in Lagos.

Wisekid somehow bypassed apple music and some other digital platforms, uploading a tampered version of the same Wizkid songs. This is a heavy copyright infringement and a criminal offense. He could be wanted if Wizkid’s team and label decide to take further legal actions.
