Despite entertainment business being at a low pace, Ugandan artistes are representing the country well across Africa. We are talking about Levixone and Eddy Kenzo who are recipients of the first ever Global Music Awards Africa (GMAAs) that were virtual a few days ago.
Eddy Kenzo was voted the Global Male Act of the Year and he defeated Bella Shmurda and Leczy both from Nigeria, Mr Leo (Cameroon) and Kuami Eugene (Ghana) with whom they have a collaboration known as ‘Give it to me’.
Uganda was also well represented by Levixone who brings home the Global Gospel Song of the Year for his ‘Celebrate‘ jam. He overcame ‘God Alone’ by Joe Praize and ‘Worthy to be Praised’by Prospa Ochimana from (Nigeria), ‘W’asem’ by Diana Hamilton and ‘Jesus over Do’ by Empress Gifty Osei from (Ghana) and ‘Revival” by Minister Michael Mahendere (Zimbabwe).
