Ugandan politics has taken over the music industry by storm with several musicians coming out to give their views on who they think is best for leadership, and some artistes expressing their interests to run for different offices.

However, speaking during a recent interview, John Blaq himself from politics stating that he is not ready to take part in the game.

Responding to a question on his political affiliation, John Blaq noted that he is just a musician who is here to entertain his fans rather than to identify with any political party.

He, however, wishes his counterparts who have joined politics good luck and prays blessings upon them.

“I wish all the people who are taking part in politics good luck because I believe they are all in this with a dream to build our country. I wish them blessings and God’s protection,” he said.

He noted that we have witnessed fans of different artistes exchange words on social media something that is not pleasant. He concluded by calling for peace and unity among Ugandans regardless of their political affiliations.

“I don’t want anyone to die because of politics. We should hand all these issues to God because we are all Ugandans. I want us all to be happy and not let political parties separate us. We have to be alive because health is wealth,” he said.

Top artistes Bobi Wine and Jose Chameleone are vying for top seats, President and Lord Mayor respectively.
