Bebe cool not happy about Mayinja’s song being made the official campaign song for NRM

A few days ago, Ronald Mayinja who crossed from the National Unity Platform (NUP) to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) released a campaign song for President Museveni.

After nominating the president as a presidential aspirant for the 2021 general elections, the party officials meet at Speke Resort Munyonyo for the manifesto launch. The launch saw several performances from musicians like Catherine Kusasira, Bebe Cool, and Ronald Mayinja among others.

It is at this same event that Ronald Mayinja’s song ‘Akalulu’ was declared the official campaign song for the party during the election season.

This news has not gone down well with singer Bebe Cool who also released a campaign song for the party and is a staunch supporter of President Museveni.

“There is us who have given the party our all year after year that I have at times put the party before my career and my family. There is a time I couldn’t sing in Kampala and yet that is my main business. I am happy that you brought Mayinja to NRM because we need all those people but you can’t put his song before mine. People are watching!” Bebe cool said this in a press conference he called at his place in Kiwatule.

He also called for unity in the party saying it’s not the time to fight because he wants the president to win by over 80% of the votes.
