MTV Africa kicks off Ugandan campaign ahead of the award show next year

There has been a lot of jazz about the independence monument at Speke Road.

The jazz revolves around the ‘M’ letter that was mounted at the monument with no clear explanation.

In fact, some people had related this to politics but it totally represents something else.

Sqoop has learnt that the letter M seeks to reveal that the MAMA (MTV Africa Music Awards) are heading to Uganda.

As a result, the letter has been used in what will entirely be a “teaser campaign”.

The campaign kicked off Friday last week and will be going on until the November 01, 2020.

The campaign will then spread out across Kampala locales like the Garden city roundabout, YMCA, Acacia mall, Lugogo mall and Kibuye roundabout with the objective of creating awareness and talkability prior to the announcement of Kampala as the host city for the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards.

Entertainers have welcomed the move saying it will promote the country as one with immense talent and great tourism potential.
