It looks like Alan Scoop’s decision to relocate to the US and concentrating on music is paying off. The US-based Ugandan artiste has become the first Uganda to make it to the US Top TV Songs chart.
Alan Scoop’s ‘Dangerous’ song in which he collaborated with Lil Bad Cuzzin has featured in the US hit show P-Valley. It comes in at number 9 rubbing shoulders with songs from hit shows; Baby (Netflix), Power Book II: Ghost. (Starz), The Boys (Amazon) and The 100 (The CW).
The Top TV Songs are ranked based on the song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the corresponding period of September 2020.
“This year has not been good for many people but it has been very good for me. I managed to land a deal where I submitted four songs to one of the TV shows, P-Valley, which is one of the popular shows in the US. The deal was with Lionsgate and it was to write and voice music for the show. I happened to be part of the writer’s camp that was dealing with the music and I made some really good money, which is helping me get through the year,” Alan told us over a phone interview.
‘Dangerous’ was produced by The Weezy on the Beat who has produced most Alan Scoops songs as well as other top charts like ‘Big Bumpa’ and ‘Twazikoze’ among others.
