BET award winning artist Edrisah Musuuza, commonly known as Eddy Kenzo has been unveiled as the new ambassador of Uganda’s tourism sector.
According to the state minister for tourism in Uganda, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda, Eddy Kenzo has been chosen for this position because of his popularity, and the fact that he is a celebrated artiste with by far the biggest international recognition in Uganda.
This is a step that the Uganda Tourism Board has taken in order to improve the tourism sector that has been affected due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
Kenzo also took the opportunity to thank God and reveal that it has always been his dream to promote Uganda all over the world so he will use his brand to promote Uganda with all his love and devotion.
The artist also took the opportunity to announce the news to his fan base through his Facebook page and asked for support and ideas on how to make tourism better in these tough times.
He was also keen to let people know that he is doing this voluntarily: “…this for me is an opportunity to continue what I’ve been doing using my music to promote Uganda. As you will hear in the news, it’s entirely voluntary and I am glad to be doing this for my country,” he said.
He was congratulated by his fans who asked him to continue doing more for his country.
