With the surging number of Covid-19 cases, there is little or no hope of entertainment events as we knew them, happening this year. So for those who haven’t embraced the new normal of online shows, quitting might be the right thing to do.
Comedy Store Uganda however seem like they are not about to quit. After spending close to six months without any show, the outfit has gone the online road, with a show happening this Friday.
The virtual comedy-entertainment show will be hosted by Alex Muhangi and will be starting at 8pm. He will be partnering with Fezah, the digital airplay monitoring and artiste booking platform on this.
Organisers promise the same blended entertainment experience but at an affordable price and with more convenience.
“Comedy Store fans have been requesting us to think of alternatives through which they can continue to enjoy comedy. They miss the experience. So, with Fezah, we are offering a solution. We think the online shows will be convenient for our fans. You can watch from wherever, including the Diaspora. And it’s cheap. Ordinarily, our tickets go for 20k, but the online shows will cost 10k. That way, you can spare some money for internet data. But it will be the same great entertainment package,” Muhangi said.
