Eddy Kenzo returned to Uganda on Saturday morning and was straight away taken to quarantine where he will be spending two weeks before making a public appearance.
He was supposed to have a press conference but the arrangement couldn’t be possible because of the mandatory procedures by the Ministry of Health. Due to this, the BET winner decided to go live yesterday and talked about a few issues happening in Uganda among which was his stand on politics.
Kenzo, real name Edirisa Musuuza stated that he’s not a politician and will stay objective from any political party. By this, he will be performing at rallies for different political parties if need be.
“I’m independent from any political party. I used to support People Power because I loved their slogan of power belongs to the people and because of Bobi Wine who played a vital role in my career so I couldn’t turn my back on him when he needed me. However, I can’t keep on doing what he wants me to do because I have a family and responsibilities. I have to make decisions for myself. I like Bobi so much and I respect him but he can’t make decisions for me,” Kenzo said.
The ‘Soraye’ artiste further added that he won’t go on the streets to fight with police and incite his fans to engage the authorities but rather use his art to express how he feels.
