Multi-instrumentalist Ugandan folk singer and songwriter Giovanni Kremer Kiyingi is back with a brand new feel-good track dubbed ‘Kama Dudu’ since the release of his ‘Amakondere’ album in 2016.
The skillful instrumentalist’s track is a mid-tempo and uplifting jam where Kiyingi sings in Swahili and English passing on good vibes of no stress on whatever is happening around the world. Listening to the song, Kiyingi calls upon everyone to get up and dance, share good minds, peace, love, food, and water.
‘Kama Dudu’ is a track under his soon to be released 4 song Extended Play (EP) titled ‘Chengi’. To many he is a new act, yet for those interested in modern traditional stories, they have known him for the past ten years. He has been mainly a festival and academic artiste who has performed at several festivals across the globe.
He is widely known for playing local Ugandan instruments like the fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others.
He is mostly remembered for being chosen as one of the Ugandan artistes to welcome Pope Francis to Uganda at Kololo on 27 November 2015.
