A few weeks ago, while in an interview with NBS After 5, Eddy Kenzo came out and admitted that he’s not doing well. By the time the country was put on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, the singer was in Ivory Coast where he had gone to perform.
The ‘Tweyagale’ singer said that he is spending a lot on accommodation, meals among other expenses. He said he is not just spending on himself but also on his guitarist who he travelled with.
It is on this note that Benon Mugumbya, a renowned producer and one of the proprietors of Swangz Avenue has come out and asked Ugandans to help Kenzo by contributing to his upkeep while he is still stuck in Ivory Coast.
Benon who is willing to help the singer, through his social media pages said that Kenzo might be needing our help to get through this whole situation.
“Kenzo has been on my mind lately, we can easily down play his situation on the assumption “yamalayo”, “yakikuba” so he should be fine, but what if he is not? what if he needs us? Am just thinking how about you (the person reading this) and I contribute to his up keep while in Ivory Coast? Am sure it will help a great deal. Simanyi oba netumikiriza naye mpulira kinkakatako, “he wrote.
Just recently, Kenzo through his social media platforms said he would give out one of his cars in return for food but later came out and said he was just being sarcastic.
