New kid on the block FreeBoy impresses Swangz Avenue

It’s not often that a little known artiste impresses a big record label like Swangz Avenue. One must have that x-factor to have them going after you.

Barely four months after signing Azawi, the industrial area based record label has got its eyes on a new artiste known as FreeBoy.

FreeBoy’s style of music can be related to the Kadongokamu that our grandparents enjoyed back in the day.

However, Swangz Avenue will not sign the singer to the label but rather collaborate on different projects with his management known as Viva Entertainment based in Arua.

According to a source from the label, Swangz Avenue will be handling FreeBoy’s music distribution. It is because they were impressed with him, that they gave him a duet with Winnie Nwagi dubbed ‘Kwata Esimu‘ that has received massive airplay over the past one month.

Born Mandela Mubark Adams, FreeBoy is an artiste from Arua in northern Uganda.

He has several songs to his name like ‘Magic’, ‘Alemi’, ‘Letaa’, and ‘Sabala gwe Abinkubya’ among others which have arguably made him the biggest artiste in the West Nile region.

FreeBoy doesn’t only come with a unique voice but also a unique style where he blends kadongo kamu with afrobeat and pop, making him an interesting artiste to watch out for.
