Some artistes joining politics are wasting our time – Toolman

Toolman Kibalama

German-based Ugandan artiste, Toolman Kibalama recently graduated with a degree in nursing. The singer is now a certified nurse but that doesn’t stop him from giving his opinion on issues to do with music and his fellow artistes.

While in an interview with BBS TV a few days ago, the “Kisumuluzo” singer was asked to give his view on artistes that are planning on participating in active politics come 2021. According to the singer, politics is a calling but he feels that some artistes are just joining because of the bandwagon without any motivation something that doesn’t make sense to him.

“There comes a time in every man’s life when he acts upon a calling. For some artistes, it is evident that politics is a calling especially for those who have a strong background in politics and those that have been doing political songs from way back, while for others, it just bandwagon because everyone is doing it something that doesn’t make sense. After all, politics is not a joke,” he said.

After artiste Bobi Wine real names Robert Kyagulanyi joined active politics and was voted Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East, several artistes have come out to show interest in politics.

Jose Chameleone, Ronald Mayinja, Geofrey Lutaya, Kalifah Aganaga, Hillary Innocent Kiyaga aka Dr. Hilderman and Jennifer Nakanguubi aka Full Figure among so many others have come out to show interest in participating in active politics in 2021.
