Lately, less music has been coming from one of Uganda’s Legendary Hip-hop artiste Daniel Kigozi also known as Navio. The going silent for a while could be explained as it is said the singer is yet to release an album that is meant to take the African music industry by storm.
According to our close sources, Navio will on April 25 launch his new album online. The album titled ‘Strength in Numbers’ will feature artistes like Ice Prince and Seyi Shay from Nigeria, Vannessa Mdee and Joh Makini from Tanzania, Khaligraph Jones from Kenya and Mozambique’ s Laylizzy. In Uganda, Navio’s album will feature singers Daddy Andre, Da Mith, and Flex D’paper.
Speaking to Navio, he says that while most artistes would shy away from the obstacle of Corona, he thought it was wise for him and his Navcorp team to keep the entertainment coming because he believes that time waits for no man. “Hip-hop is most alive in times of hardship and that is when he truly celebrates our strength,” Navio said.
Although some of these songs have been released like ‘Nkwagala Omu’, ‘Paper’ and ‘Nielewe’, the whole 15-track album will officially launch on April 15.
The songs were produced by different producers who include Ellputo, Mopiano, Nessim, Samurae, Mio Made, Aethan, Izaya and Mike among others.
