When Pius Mayanja known by his stage name Pallaso was allegedly attacked, many music fans suspected it was a stunt to promote his music even after he displayed his fresh wounds in a video recording on Facebook.
This was partly because of his narration of what had happened. Among those who skeptical to believe the Ekiro Munzikiza’s singer was Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama who said the artiste should grow up because we are no longer in the generation of stunts in the music industry.
However, Pallaso hit back urging the MP to concentrate on his faded music and drama career before it degenerated into a verbal fight on social media.
At some point, the singer threatened to show the MP what he’s made of when he returns from South Africa where he was seeking medical attention.
Upon his return on Tuesday, Pallaso immediately held a press conference at Sky Lounge in Kisemnti where he retold the story about what exactly happened to him while in South Africa.
Asked to comment about MP Lubwama’s reaction, Pallaso surprised many when he said he had forgiven him.
He said he had done it from the bottom of his heart.
This was not expected given the barrage of threats he had issued through social media.
“Kato Lubwama thought I was joking with my situation in South Africa. I could have lost my life but instead of people like him condemning what happened he just took it lightly but anyway, I forgive him from the bottom of my heart,” Pallaso told journalists.
