Having successfully celebrated 10 years in the comedy industry a few weeks ago, Patrick ‘Salvador’ Idringi is back at it again and this time he is doing comedy with a purpose to motivate the younger generation.
The comedian who prefers to be called Man from Ombokolo was earlier today at Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) where he lectured the students on entrepreneurship as invited by National Social Security Fund (NSSF) during their Career Expo.
The comedian was invited to talk about self-startups, how to manage finance by young people and common mistakes made by young in handling their finance. He told the students his story of how he left his job as a Telecom Engineer for Comedy
“I realized that I was doing serious things but getting unserious money but now I am doing unserious things but getting serious money,” Salvador said.
Comedy was the best way of delivering his lecture as he tried to tell his story and comically motivate the students. The NSSF Career Expo happens annually in partnership with Daily Monitor and it is aimed at increasing financial literacy among different University students in Uganda.
