Geoffrey Lutaya refuses to reveal UACE results

Musician Geoffrey shocked the country when he came out publically in 2018 and announced that he had sat for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) in 2018 and according to him he had passed with flying colours despite obtaining aggregate 62.

Following this achievement, he decided to study further by joining A-level. Lutaaya was among the over 104,000 candidates sitting for their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations in 2019.

When the results released on Friday, the Eagles production boss was mute, no one heard anything from him until he was contacted by the press. Geoffrey Lutaya agreed to have sat for the papers but refused to disclose the results by saying he was engaged and wasn’t able to talk about it. “I am currently in a press conference but I will call you back as soon as I am done here.” Geoffrey Lutaya told the journalist over the phone.

The journalist made a second attempt but this time Lutaya told him that he had a serious problem at hand because one of his cars had gotten an accident and that he wasn’t in position to discuss such issues.
Till now, efforts to get the singer’s results have been in vain as he has refused to talk about it.

The singer who had dropped out of school 20 years ago to go and pursue his music career, decided to go back after expressing his interest in the Kakuto County parliamentary seat come 2021 general elections. UACE certificate is the minimum academic qualification for any legislative seat in Uganda.
