Janzi Band spices up the 19th hole tournament

Afro-fusion outfit Janzi Band impressed both in fashion and in performance over the weekend at Entebbe Club as they treated golfers and guests at the Singleton Challenge to a soothing performance at the first round of 19th hole tournament.

The gifted performers spiced up the event with a cocktail of traditional classics and a range of prominent covers. From oldies to latest jams. With a span of over ten years in the industry, they executed every song they did to perfection to the extent that some revellers thought they were the original composers.

Patrick Indringi aka Salvado who was the host of the event also didn’t disappoint as he left the crowd who mostly comprise the corporate class in stiches with his jokes. With the dress code being a touch of Uganda, many guests turned up wearing black, yellow and red outfits as they colored the venue with a touch of the national flag colors

The winning pair will get a fully-paid trip to watch the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic, a series which has welcomed world class golfers including Tiger Woods and Henrik Stenson.

There will also be business class return air tickets for the first and second runner-up pairs, as well as the winners of the subsidiary events in the men’s and ladies’ categories. A Mitsubishi Pajero Sport also awaits any golfer who manages a hole-in-one among other prizes.

Winning pairs from every month will advance to the subsequent rounds slated for March 14, April 18, May 9 and June 20. The grand finale is scheduled for July 18.
