Did Hamza “steal the show” at Rema’s concert?

Hamza Sebunya who is the husband to songstress Rema Namakula has been in the news ever since their introduction ceremony in November last year .Last evening while at Rema’s concert at Hotel Africana he could not let her be in the news alone as he found the need to share the spotlight.

It all started when he came in a few minutes after the show kicked off and obviously this made cameras turn to him. In fact, the show paused a bit as the cheers over powered the singer that she had to pause until Hamza got a seat.

The second camera moment for him to enjoy happened when the speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga who was the guest of honor arrived and Sebunya stood up to go and welcome her. According to reliable sources, she was supposed to be welcomed by Hon Latif Ssebagala who in his speech said he connected Rema to the speaker so that she can be the guest of honour.

At the same time Rema invited the speaker on stage to gift her and before we knew Hamza was walking behind her which made sent the crowd in cheers.

Well it was Valentine’s Day and it’s a norm to share gifts which is probably why Sebunya went to stage and gifted his wife putting the performances on hold.

This left us wondering, was he the right person to welcome the Speaker, couldn’t he gift her after the concert? Did he want to steal the show? Was it necessary to frequent the stage? And lastly Is this what her fans want?
