My husband inspires me to return to school- Rema

Rema and her husband Hamza Sebunya on his graduation day

Singer Rema Namakula says she plans to go back to school after her husband’s graduation at Makerere University.

Namakula says that she is proud of Hamza Ssebunya because of the love he has for his studies.

I am very proud of him, he is such an inspiration. He loves to study, this is not the first time he is graduating. He keeps saying he will keep studying and this gives me hope that maybe one time I will also go back and study,” she says.

She adds, “You can’t be with a person like that and you do not get inspired. I am supporting him 100%. Even if he said he wanted to go overseas and study, I would support his dreams.”

Namakula says Sebunya is the kind of person she needed.

“He supports my dreams. You need to get into a relationship with someone who supports your dreams. He is my husband…”

Sebunya graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Makerere University yesterday.
