At 37, Bobi Wine is arguably one of the most recognised young politicians in Uganda having so far served as an MP for just two years.
The Kyadondo East representative, real name Robert Kyagulanyi, on Friday night received yet another award for his outstanding performance in the struggle and liberation of the African continent.
The Kasukali Keeko singer received Africa Freedom Award 2019 from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Johannesburg, South Africa.
During the award ceremony, the singer-cum politician performed some of his songs including Kyarenga.
“What an honour. What an opportunity to share a platform with strugglists from all over Africa and the world,” Bobi Wine posted on his social media pages.
The award is just one of the several continental recognitions he has received of late ahead of the 2021 presidential elections in which he already expressed his interest to challenge President Museveni who has been in power for over three decades.
