Alex Muhangi with the comedians going to perform tomorrow

One of the reasons the Uganda Comedians Association was formed was to transform the comedy industry in Uganda. One of the key areas they are looking at is having fresh jokes and reduce on repeating jokes.

This problem was addressed by different household names in the industry apart from Alex Muhangi, the proprietor of Comedy store. Muhangi has finally accepted that this is a big problem which is being worked upon and with his comedy store being one of the biggest platforms, he’s going to act accordingly.

While speaking at the Comedy Store end of year party press conference yesterday at Kalanoga resort in Busabaala, Muhangi said they have been receiving complaints from the comedy lovers that comedians keep repeating jokes.

“There is a complaint that came up from fans that most of the comedians keep repeating the same jokes over and over especially Mariachi, but that is now history as we will be delivering new content to the fans. We sat down to figure out our mistakes and trust me, we are ready to give our fans the best and refreshing show come Saturday 14,December,” said Muhangi.

The former Krackers comedian further stated that the final comedy store event happening tomorrow, he expects all the comedians to come with fresh jokes to break the monotony because this is one of the few special events to end the year.

Muhangi also said that since it’s a family event which will involve kids, the performers will not be speaking any obscene words at the show.

Besides Eric Omondi as the headlining act other comedians like MC Mariachi, Madrat and Chiko, Mighty Family, Maulana and Reign, Teacher Mpamire, T-amale Mirundi, Amooti, Bizonto, Crazy University and Senga Nantume among others, it will also have music performances coming in from Bebe Cool, Cindy and Spice Diana.
