Comedian Madrat has mocked Nigerian artists over flopped concerts. This was in relation to the recent Wizkid and Gospel artist, Ekene concerts in Kampala that didn’t receive the expected turn up.
Speaking to Spark TV, Madrat who seemed disgruntled scorned the promoters of the recently concluded concerts for not advertising the event in time.
“How do you promote an artist for only one month as if you are promoting Jose Chameleone who Ugandans already know? People know Chameleone, Kenzo, Bebe Cool, and it is easy for them to attend their concerts,” he said.
Adding, “now you bring Wizkid, for instance I know only two of his songs and you advertise for only a month, worse still schedule the concert for a Thursday,” he added.
Madrat also complained about Nigerian gospel singer David Daniels Ekene, whose concert happened on Friday, December 6th at the Lugogo Cricket oval.
“Then there is Ekene… I’m told he is a gospel artist, but I don’t even know any of his songs. If you wanted a gospel artist, you should have held a concert for Levixone. Support local brands.”
