Kusasira who was recently appointed the presidential advisor has just stepped on stage singing ‘Enkola Ya Taxi’ was thrown bottles at which prompted her to leave the stage immediately. The singer has come out to speak on the matter. “I didn’t expect it, I had so many shows to do on that day and the first show I did in Nabugabo on one of the set up stage went well, I was surprised when that happened on the second stage.” She said.
She went on to say this will not stop her from singing because it’s a talent but she will take some time off. She said she is not a politician but a musician but she has to show the world that she supports president Museveni.
Full Figure who is an NRM mobilizer in the other hand denied the fact that she was pelted with bottles and chased away from Nabugabo on Boxing Day. “I was not thrown at with bottles and I wasn’t chased from Nabugabo, I went performed and even campaigned for president Museveni before I left the stage.” Full Figure said. She asked that elections should not separate us like Bobi Wine once preached.
Sophie Gombya the president of Uganda Musicians Association asked musicians to trade with caution as political temperatures rise. “My fellow musicians as your eating, make sure people do not hear you munching, please munch in silence.” She said.
In September 2018 Bebe Cool was the first musician to be attacked by people who were not happy about his open support for president Museveni.
