Open mic is commonly known as a microphone battle between Hip hop artistes to determine who the best is. Others have on several occasions used it for stand-up comedy. Cindy is not known for either. She is just a musician whose genre is dancehall.
Being among the top musicians this year, Cindy has also been one of the most booked and it’s not about to stop as she has been listed as the headlining artiste in Gulu this weekend.
The ‘Ayokyayokya’ musician is going to headline the 8thedition of the Open Mic Festival that is slated to take place this Saturday at Fun City in Gulu town.
The songstress who has been driving the airwaves in the entertainment circles with her latest club banger ‘Boom Party” is determined to show Gulu residents why she is the “The King Herself” when it comes to dancehall.
Dubbed the end of year edition, the Tusker Lite-sponsored event will feature performances from Cindy, Otim Alfa, Allan Smokie, the Party Pipo, and will have crazy Dj mixes from Almost Famous DJ’s, DJ crim. It will also feature great activities like face painting, outdoor games, top DJ mixes and 3D cinema.
Cindy is both good at live and play-back performances and being a singer, songwriter and performer, Gulu people will be left yearning for more.
