Comedian Kenneth Kimuli commonly known as Pablo is back in the news. The celebrated Ugandan standup comedian was named brand ambassador for the newly launched cash chat application.
The application according to Edgar Ofuyuru one of the developers of the application is to combine the financial content with social media where the user can chat and at the same time send money to their family and friends on the same platform. He said the app is user-friendly.
According to Asha Namanya, the CEO and founder of PESA money, the Application has been integrated with bank systems and it is one stopover. He said they have also partnered with telecommunication giant MTN to help use their platforms in terms of money transfer through mobile money. The user can transfer money from their mobile money account to the cash chat wallet and then be able to send the money to another person who they are connected with on the App.
“You can also use the application to pay your bills like utility bills,” he said.
Ofuyuru added that the application is still for android and can be downloaded via the Google play store.
He said the application can help users earn from advertisement with 20 per cent commission on every advert.
Pablo said he was very excited to be the brand ambassador of an application that he thinks drives people’s lives lately.
“The millennials will benefit from it since they are so much on their phones,” he said.
