Hot Pink Charity Show proves that Disability doesn’t mean inability

For the fashion lovers, Victoria Mall, (pool side) Entebbe was the perfect place to be as guests thronged the fourth Edition of the Malengo Hot Pink Charity Show over the weekend. Usually, it is an affair for physically abled persons but this time around it was a whole new twist for both the first timers and those that have attended before.

Some of Kampala’s top designers like K- Rafael, Elijah MCQUINN, Kai’s Divo Collection, Anita Beryl, Eguana, Bantu, Muyomba among others were in attendance to showcase their outfits that disabled models donned. Among the models were the blind, wheel -chaired, amputees, persons with Albinism and little people among others.

To have the ground leveled, children, youth and adults were in the mix to display their involvement at the auspicious event. Ms. Michelle Omamteker, the Chief Executive Officer, Malengo Foundation that is behind the show thanked the partners that have stood behind them since their Inception and have always carried their burdens to see them grow.

She further revealed that they are soon having their Malengo Haven situated in Lunyo, which will help them coordinate all their activities and serve communities better.

The event was hosted by Malayika Nnyanzi and Martin Lubwama that serve as Brand Ambassador and strategic affairs respectively.
