On Sunday, November 24, the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs), held a master class for models at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The master class comprised of different panellists from the fashion industry giving tips to models on how to succeed in the modelling industry.

One of those panellists was model, Priscilla Ray. Back then, she was part of Zipper Models, which was under the management of renowned fashion designer, Sylvia Owori.

At this particular master class, Ray tipped models on how to stand out in the modelling business.

“You might be beautiful, gorgeous with a great personality, but, if you are not presentable enough and well-groomed, you will not be booked for modelling jobs,” Ray told models.

She went ahead to advise the models to always take great care of themselves in order to increase their chances of getting modelling gigs.

Ray also emphasised the need for models to always be professional in terms of keeping time for appointments and respecting the other people they work with.

After the master class ended, the SQOOP team briefly interacted with Ray and she confirmed the stories that have been making rounds about her modelling comeback.

“Yes, indeed, I will be making my modelling comeback at the ASFAs this December. I will walk for the show,” she stated.

The 33-year-old says she earlier took a break from modelling in order to focus on pursuing a Masters in International Business and Management at the University of Westminster in the UK. Also, the break was necessary in order for her to focus on running her businesses including a fish farm but most importantly, she needed the break to concentrate on motherhood. Today, Ray is a mother of three.
