Miss World Africa Quiin Abenakyo has officially launched her foundation, in a bid to fight teenage pregnancies and child marriages.
Dubbed Quiin Abenakyo foundation, the organisation was launched at an event attended by the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, other dignitaries and development partners.
In a gratitude post on her facebook page, Abenakyo thanked the President and First Lady for you walking with her from the moment she has crowned Miss World Africa to date.
“Thank you Mama Rt Hon Speaker for believing in my dreams and supporting me all the way. Her Royal Highness I cannot thank you enough for you are an exceptional inspiration to me from whom I will keep reading the notes,” she said.
She also appreciated every Uganda who contributed towards the cause.
“In a special way, I want to thank the Government of Uganda, Development Partners, Civil society organizations and corporate entities for efforts done in achieving the SDGs; most especially SDGs 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9. I appreciate the work you are doing for positive social change in the communities and will be delighted to work with you.”
