East Africa’s Got Talent winners Esther and Ezekiel return home

The two siblings Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira, who over the weekend were declared first winners of the talent competition East Africa’s Got Talent on Thursday returned home.

They were welcomed by their father Pastor Steven Mutesasira, friends and other relatives accompanied by a cheerful crowd at Entebbe International Airport.

Among those who welcomed them included their sister Elizabeth Mutesasira and Leyna Kagere who was also one of the contestants.

They arrived at the airport at around 6.20 pm Thursday.

The two siblings told Sqoop that they will continue singing and use part of their award money $50,000 to help needy children.

In a recent interview, Ezekiel said he would tithe some of the award money, build an orphanage and also intends to travel to Canada with the balance to check on his mom gospel singer Julie Mutesasira.

Ezekiel, 11, and Esther, 14, were on October 6 crowned the winners of inaugural East Africa’s Got Talent competition that was held in Nairobi at the Catholic University Auditorium.
